THE LURE TUNER®:
Crankbaits, topwater lures and most other artificial plugs will get out of tune from time to time. Largely this happens from fishing abuse. For example, anytime a big bass, walleye, pike or any other fresh or saltwater fish is landed with a standard landing net, hooks can become entangled in both the net and fish. As soon as that fish thrashes inside the landing net, tremendous stress on the lure's hook hangers and its front line tie takes place which can bend them out of tune.
